Creating qualia

qualia’s harmonious design is the work of Australian designer Chris Beckingham, realised in collaboration with the late Bob Oatley and his family. The vision was to create a luxurious Australian retreat that stimulates the senses and draws the outside in.

The resort has been thoughtfully designed to honour and blend seamlessly with its surrounding natural environment, while protecting and respecting it. The result is a refined sense of space, openness and quiet harmony.

Set amongst native eucalypts, each luxury pavilion is crafted from a considered palette of local and imported timber and stone, creating a contemporary sanctuary deeply connected to the landscape.
