The term ‘qualia’ (pronounced ‘kwahleea’) is of Latin derivative used predominately by philosophers to refer to a collection of sensory experiences. It is a term that is hard to define, however perfectly fits the true essence of the resort.
We have used qualia on a number of occasions for high profile, complex and, at times, demanding clients. In fact we did the first ever buy out of qualia when they opened in 2007. Despite the challenges our clients present us with, the qualia team have always gone above and beyond to deliver fabulous service and ensure the experience exceeds expectations. qualia is embedded in 30 acres of tropical garden landscape on the northern most tip of Hamilton Island. Accessible by direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns, guests are offered the positively indulgent choice of 60 individual pavilions. Each pavilion has been erected with the least possible intervention of the surroundings and consist largely of natural materials such as rough hewn stone walls and hoop pine.
