Gourmet Food and Wine Weekend
Near to entering its third year, Hamilton Island’s highly successful Great Barrier Feast includes a series of separate haute cuisine weekends at qualia, offering you the exclusive opportunity to immerse yourself in a truly intimate ‘behind the scenes’ experience and learn directly from a world-class chef in a world-class setting.
Hosted by highly respected restaurant critic and columnist Simon Thomsen, each gourmet weekend begins on a Friday evening with a welcome dinner designed by qualia’s talented new Executive Chef Alistair Waddell, featuring wines paired by renowned wine critic James Halliday.
The following day attend two Electrolux Masterclasses to broaden your knowledge of the unique techniques and processes used by these highly acclaimed chefs.
As the sun begins to set, a showpiece dinner held at qualia’s Long Pavilion allows you to watch a world-renowned chef prepare their culinary delights step-by-step via a live camera link-up from the kitchen.
